You have fallen into the same trap that he did. Since COVID-19 has not infected every single person on the planet, you cannot use total population. Use recovery rate- RR= recoveries ÷ (recoveries + deaths) Worldwide RR = 79% US RR = 59% Italy RR = 61%
Nope. I’m posting about where we are right now. And my numbers are correct for where we are right now in reported cases and deaths.

But you are not, when you say we represent X of the world's population, as much of the world's population has not been impacted yet. We have a disproportionately high percent of deaths because not all of the world has been fully impacted yet.

Correct. And in a month I’ll be able to say that on X date, we have Y % of cases and deaths. Then in another month I’ll be able to say we have Z % of cases. The numbers and percents are accurate for *right now*.
