I read that masks are only 60-70% effective. Better than nothing but not effective enough to warrant loosening up on isolating and on distancing when we Must go out. I also verified on an ophthalmology site that we can be infected through our eyes.
Masks definitely vary in effectiveness depending on material used and engineering.
