@DrChristineMann
My mother lives with us, she's 81, has COPD, and is on O2 continuously. My wife works retail, and interacts with ~400 people/day. Do you believe it is wise for her to continue to work, regardless of protections and precautions?
#COVID19
Can y’all afford for her to be off work? It’s a tough balance between the risks of her job and the financial hit you will take. In a perfect world with a robust safety net, I’d tell her to stay home. If not, she should not come in direct contact with your mom at all.

She should remove her clothes and wash her hands thoroughly after getting home and sleep in a room as far away as possible. No shared space in the house at all.

We can afford a few weeks, at most. Her district manager has stated she will be considered "no call, no show" and "unhireable" upon termination. There is no way to avoid contact in our home indefinitely. She is staying home, but will not be eligible for unemployment.

I greatly appreciate your response. We're just going to have to weather this. Life is more important than money. Thank you kindly, Dr. Mann
