Things are moving quickly with the #Coronavirus, and I already have an update regarding testing for the virus. Please check back here frequently as the situation is very fluid and there is no coordination of information flow from the administration.

My office can now offer #Coronavirus testing through Clinical Pathology Labs. Other offices will likely have tests soon.
BUT: follow these guidelines so that we don’t overwhelm medical offices & testing & so that we have the resources we need to care for the worst cases.

For now, until the testing is widely available, ONLY get tested if you
Have recently traveled from a country with high rates of cases
Have *direct* contact with someone who has tested positive
AND you are experiencing significant symptoms.

Do not seek care if these do not apply to you. For the short to medium term, you will make it less likely that those who need care the most will be taken care of as our healthcare system gets saturated with cases. 4/4
