My medical office is starting to get a lot of calls with questions about testing for #Coronavirus. Here’s what we are telling everyone as of today, Thursday March 12, 2020:

Our office cannot test you for #Coronavirus
Only people who have recently (within the last two weeks) traveled to high risk countries or have had direct contact with someone with a positive test AND have severe disease are eligible for testing at this time.

Hospitals, ERs, Urgent Care Centers, and doctors offices have VERY limited testing ability. Do not go just to get tested unless you meet the above criteria.

Follow infection control guidelines such as frequent handwashing, avoiding crowded places, minimize exposure to the public, don’t shake hands or hug for greeting if you can avoid it, stay home as much as possible, and don’t touch your face.
