I've heard that diabetes and high blood pressure are likely underlying conditions. If both conditions are under control, is the risk still great? Does anyone know?

My Infectious disease contacts are saying that underlying cardiopulmonary diseases are the biggest concern based on the patients they are seeing. Heart disease, CHF, asthma, COPD.

Saying that the most vulnerable are the most likely to have serious disease is not the same thing as saying that healthy people can’t or won’t die. Just like with every viral illness, some otherwise healthy people will die. But healthy people are *far* less likely to succumb.
