What would you exactly consider an "Assault Weapon"? An "Assault Weapon" is a fully automatic machine gun which has been restricted from civilian ownership since 1934. Someone with a Blackbelt in Karate is technically an Assault Weapon. Firearm education is a great first step.

"Education" mitigates the risk of the abuse of anything including firearms This is the issue we have in Congress. Anyone can draft a bill, but how do we implement it within the states? "Firearm Education" can be done today in collaboration with State and Local officials.
