If doctors (who are among the top income earners in America) are going to insist on charging, for their services, amounts of money that people cannot possibly afford to pay, they shouldn't then complain that people need to rely on charity to pay their doctor bills.
Right. So what’s the correct amount to charge, given that some people cannot pay anything?
