In medicine, chest discomfort and chest pain are the same thing. People use discomfort to make it seem less serious. But any ER would do a complete eval for “chest discomfort” on a patient with his risk profile. The word “discomfort” is propaganda meant to downplay this.

Could chest discomfort have been something like AFib though? It can be triggered by stress and doesn’t cause chest pain.
