Billionaires are not an inescapable fact of life. A wealth tax would do wonders towards making them pay their fair share and reduce them to millionaires. No one would starve, they'd still be ridiculously rich, but all the recovered money would reinvigorate our economy.

Incrementalism is *not* going to get this ship righted. The world is on fire, income inequality is rampant and billionaires have bought our government to allow them to continue making things worse for everyone, as long as they will fund their reelection campaigns. This ain’t it.

The federal government could take 99% of Jeff Bezos’s wealth and he’d still be a billionaire... and I’m ok with that tbh. It’s not just taxing the rich, it’s changing our campaign finance laws so the rich and corporations don’t have more say than any one citizen.
