No. It's not an 8 hr day. It's sunup to sundown as long as there's picking left to do. It's knowing what is perfectly ripe & ready to be picked. It's not damaging the plants. It's getting paid by the pound. Its not for the unskilled. Source; lived around farms all my life.

This is in my community. The food is not inexpensive comparatively. Nonetheless, we support the farm workers here in Ventura Co. We have worked especially hard after the fires to ensure that workers whose jobs were impacted are cared for due to no work.
