Hot take: is it ethical for a party precinct chair’s husband to match donations up to $500 in a Congressional primary?

Matching donations on Twitter sounds a bit like promoting a candidate doctor. That’s something for others to discuss. I’m not a lawyer. If you’re correct, those are reasons why it’s legal, not why it’s ethical.

Again, precinct chairs are 100% allowed to promote their candidates. You can complain all you want, but it’s been discussed at length & determined to be perfectly ethical in our district. There are precinct chairs promoting your candidate here too. Are you going to harrass them?

You don’t think that a party chair’s husband publicly offering to match funds is a form of promoting? The tactic of riding the line of legality is fine and all, but at least have the backbone to own it. Politics today is “Whatever gets you over the line”, amirite?!

She’s NOT a party chair.
