The death penalty is immoral and unjust. It should be abolished. Taking a life should never be under the purview of the state.

@GregAbbott_TX, as a pro-life Catholic you are aware that the CCC reads, "in the light of the Gospel" the death penalty is "an attack on the inviolability and dignity of the person." Or are you a "Catholic" in name only, not in practice? -
The Catechism is not infallible. The Death Penalty is licit in the Catholic Church and in Scripture.
