WATCH: “It’s so much worse than on the news. We found children sleeping under overpasses or on pizza boxes. These are concentration camps by any definition & they need to be stopped.” - @DrChristineMann’s response to Republican attacks of her describing migrant detention campspic.twitter.com/INlP9lrNTN

If they're sleeping under overpasses or on pizza boxes then it sounds like they've evaded border patrol.

These are the people who were sent to Mexico by CBP. They didn’t *evade* CBP, they were sent across the border *by* CBP where there is no safe infrastructure for them to access shelter, food, water.

The remarks misleads people into thinking you're talking about children kept in BP custody. Re: "concentration camps", "it's much worse than we thought". So you can't access shelter food or water in Mexico? You're right we haven't heard that one yet.

The conditions in CBP custody are terrible. They are worse once they cross into Mexico. Once there, they cannot access basics because they arrive with no money or resources. No safe passage or transportation. As soon as they step outside the gates of the immigration facility in

Mexico, they are at risk of being kidnapped by cartels. When I was there, a priest and all of the migrants in his shelter were kidnapped by the cartels. This is well documented if you care to go look.

Migrant Protection Protocol was designed assuming these migrants would stop hiring cartels & gangs to smuggle them into the U.S. (with the promise to pay when they went to work in the U.S.) if they knew they'd be sent back to Mexico to face their cartel debtors with no $.

Cool. The result of the MPP program is that people are being kidnapped, killed, trafficked, raped and murdered. You good with that?
