      @ReichlinMelnick see @DrChristineMann thread on missing asylum seekers in Nuevo Laredo. INM is apparently transporting them away from the US border so they miss their asylum hearings.

      Yep, all the way to Chiapas in some cases! I am still very much trying to figure out what (if any) plan is there to bring them back for hearings. So far it's only happened in Nuevo Laredo (and maybe also in Matamoros) but information on the ground is incredibly scarce.

      Yepppp. What is still a total unknown (but I’m hoping @adam_wola can figure this out because I believe he’s in Tapachula right now) is whether those sent to Chiapas are going to be returned to the border later or whether they’ve been coerced into “voluntarily” leaving Mexico.
