@ReichlinMelnick see @DrChristineMann thread on missing asylum seekers in Nuevo Laredo. INM is apparently transporting them away from the US border so they miss their asylum hearings.

Re: info on the ground. I’ve been working with Catholic Charities which has dioceses in Chiapas. No one knows anything. It’s like a black hole. The migrants we spoke to said they had been given no plan for coming back for their hearings. Just a date to appear in Laredo.
Additionally, they were asking *us* what they were supposed to do. This policy is working *exactly* as planned making it nearly impossible for these people to seek asylum as they planned.
