Let’s talk about this for a minute. The Walton Family gets $4,000,000 richer every HOUR. The average WalMart employee makes $11 per hour. This is who we are talking about when we talk about wealth taxes that will be used to fund programs like 1/5 https://www.bloomberg.com/features/richest-families-in-the-world/ …

*sigh* A wealth tax is unconstitutional. Wanna raise the tax rates? That's fine. But stop it with this "wealth tax" crap. Liz has been told it's unconstitutional, as has Bernard (but he never listens, so....) BTW, how are you gonna get a tax increase thru a GOP Senate?

“Wealth tax” is a loose term & is not the only way to leverage the money-we *can* raise the marginal tax rate on high earners as I discussed in my thread. Nothing will get through a GOP Senate, that’s why we have to flip it if we want to achieve *anything*.

Even the most moderate, centrist proposals will not pass a GOP Senate, so let’s focus on that instead on in-fighting.
