Seeking asylum is legal. Just trying to get in is not. And how do we know which, unless we properly check them out. Also medically, so if they have any communicable diseases they can be treated. Showing only the kids tugs at the heartstrings, but is misleading. I wish them well.
1. They are following the procedure for seeking asylum, so I’m not sure what your 1st point is. 2. When they were coming to the shelter in Laredo they were screened by both the health department and a physician for infectious disease and isolated as needed.
