Fully agree. But it’s hard to ask people to spend their personal savings and to ask their friends and family to donate money to a cause that is hopeless because of gerrymandering
I completely understand this. I ran for Congress in a district that was R +10. The Dem nominee got it to R 2.9. It was incredibly difficult to ask for money. But fielding candidates is the only way we move the needle, and a lot of these smaller races only need 100k or less.
Which means we need state and local parties to step up- we must fund them so we can pay staff and fund raise to get this done. I wonder if we have too many organizations on our side - consolidate?
