Water issues barely get mentioned. As this article points out, access to water is a serious issue. I’m disappointed to hear that Williamson County Judge Gravell, along with 3 of the 4 Williamson County Commissioners are working to kill a bill at the #TexasLege that would
update research on this issue. Current data is seriously outdated-over a decade old. Kudos to Williamson County Commissioner Terry Cook for speaking up and being on the side of #Science.
Simple. Williamson County plans on draining the Aquifer and the hell with other counties served by it, particularly Bell. This has to stop. The state created GCD’s to avoid dealing with water issues. Too bad no one in state government really gives a damn about rural counties.
