It has nothing to do with values, it has to do with being human. The same thing happens in my industry. Doctor prescribing habits change with exposure to pharmaceutical representatives. These interactions *change behavior*, no matter your values or ethics. It needs to stop. 1/2

My industry too. (Interior design). Even if we are conscious of the schmoozing, and open to alternative resources, there is a level of comfort and convenience with sticking to the vendors who spend the most time (energy, money, etc.) with you.
