Even when we get the entire Mueller report, there is no reason to think that anything will change.
Mueller will not save us.
The SDNY will not save us.
The Constitution will not save us.
The Democratic Party will not save us.

WE ARE THE ONLY ONES WHO CAN SAVE US. Why? 3/8
All of the things we thought were there to protect us were based on the idea that unwritten norms would be followed. That has not happened yet, and there is no reason to think that it will start to happen now. 4/8
The Constitution does not enforce itself. The @GOP is compromised from top to bottom and has gerrymandered its way to an almost unbreakable hold on power. 5/8
There will continue to be around 40% of the country who will not turn on Trump *no matter what the repost says*. The Democratic Party leadership has already ruled out impeachment, and even if they did impeach and remove, we would have Pence. 6/8
We are the only ones who can save ourselves, our country, and our democracy. Do you understand that? Do you understand what needs to be done? I fear that there are not nearly enough people who are clear-eyed enough to understand this, to understand the work that must be done. 7/8
Don’t set yourself up for disappointment. Don’t wait on a savior. Go back to doing the hard work, registering voters, block walking for good candidates, running for office. Take nothing for granted. We’ve got a hard 2 years ahead, and *nothing* is guaranteed. 8/8
I didn’t cry 6 weeks over an election. If you don’t understand that, you don’t understand how badly this administration has eroded our Democratic norms.
