My counterargument is that he’ll get confirmed *faster,* there will be nothing from him on the record, and I think people are hugely overestimating the attention a walkout would get. Dems did it for three Trump nominees last year.

Good points. I think there could be coordination-some stay and do questioning, others walk out and join the Senate Dems who are not in the committee for a press conference.
