And another celebrity is trying to jump into Democratic politics. No policies. Lots of narcissism. Didn’t we learn from Trump that celebrity status and a good PR team is not a good skill set for this?https://twitter.com/lynnv378/status/1015993352351830017 …

Any one can be/become a Democrat does not equate to anyone can run for Democratic party presidential candidate without connection to Democratic party.

In many states, you can get on the Democratic Party primary ballot by gathering signatures and paying a filing fee without Democratic Party support. Varies by state. https://ballotpedia.org/Ballot_access_for_presidential_candidates …

Oh, I know you can physically get on the ballot. My point was how arrogant running for president with no background, connection to the party, and perhaps qualifications, such as they may be, is insulting.

I was also thinking of W. appointee Richard Painter, who decided he would dump the GOP to run for senator in MN, primarying Tina Smith. He’s even stated he’d be trying to repair GOP. But he thinks he should be welcomed by Dems as candidate.
