They don't want a senator who owns millions in medical device and drug company stocks. It terribly wrong - and I meant it will likely result it only affluent Republicans being the ones who get the most coverage / are able to spend / do more, & therefore more have more name recog, poss leading to a situ like our current gov't / Admin.

I got ya. Just be aware that it’s the same on the Dem side. If you don’t already have connections and money, it’s nearly impossible to get traction in the Democratic Party. Dems who are rich and well connected have a tremendous advantage. The playing field is heavily tilted.

So true, there was a lot of that going on with the multiple candidates in California, even dozens in some seats, the local news reports literally just ignored the "small players." Total BS as many of the small players were there grass roots favorites.
