As a physician, this idea burns me up. Every day I treat people with illnesses that have *nothing* to do with their choices. I prided myself in being healthy. Plant-based, whole food diet. Exercise. Healthy relationships. Minimal alcohol. No drugs. Yet, I was recently diagnosed with Graves Disease. Through no fault of my own I have a crippling autoimmune disease. Should I go broke getting it treated?
