If you think the delays are bad, wait until you hear about what happens in black or brown precincts across the country. We're used to waiting.

Good on ya' for posting this | My exchange with Jim Molan when it comes to having an "open mind" about the scientific evidence underlying human-caused climate change:

The Western Antarctic Ice Sheet is less stable than researchers once thought. A new study from ’ Feng He and ’s suggests that warming oceans could cause Antarctic ice sheet collapse and rising sea levels.

Last night Nolan called for a fact check on whether scientists warned of increased bushfire risk this summer. I'd say this outlook from BoM on 29th August 2019 was a pretty clear and specific warning:

For all those wondering why the 'Medieval Warm Period' does not look warm, it is because the evidence suggests it was NOT a globally coherent event. Please update your understanding. (See: or )

Watching a place you once lived in burn to the ground is terrifying, but not nearly as terrifying as for those living the reality right now. I hope that is right that the bushfires in Oz can spur not just a national, but a global response. now.

There is no strong, resilient Australia without deep cuts to greenhouse gas emissions. An open letter from scientists on why human-caused climate change is increasing bushfire risk in Australia, and a call to our leaders to take strong climate action.

As part of our project we drilled a bunch of shallow ice cores to collect rock samples. The deepest core we saved for , the shallow cores had amazing melt structures in them & near bedrock we saw similar debris that saw under Thwaites

These melt and refreezing features remind me of glass blowing!
    Just cool stuff!
I THINK fractures and melt-pathways that keep refreezing?
Similar to the debris bands that ICEFIN saw under Thwaites Glacier, we had lots of fine grain debris at the ice-bedrock interface!
