There are, consistently, three under-35 male migrants entering Europe for every under-35 female migrant.

In the longer run -- how many of these young men are going to find brides from inside Europe? A small percentage, I would hazard.

So if you want them to actually settle down in some normal sense, you need to let them to bring brides in from places they've left behind.

Germany took a million last year, on track for 4-500,000 this year. Per these numbers, that 1.5 million includes about 650,000 extra men.

If a lot of these men ultimately bring in spouses, the overall influx -- again, in just 2 years -- could be closer to 2 million than 1.5.

Germany's under-35 population isn't that large. It already includes many recent migrants and their kids. There's a birthrate differential.

If Germany continues to accept migrants at this year's pace (forget last year's), it may be a completely transformed country in 25 years.
