You can certainly come up with a story where Biden loses in November but for a candidate who is very much a known quantity I don't think these (pre-coronavirus takeoff) numbers are going to be reversed by "Bernie wuz robbed" tweets and senility memes alone.pic.twitter.com/3BvLBls9JA

Also note that for now Biden consistently gets over 50 percent, whereas Hillary broke 50 percent just once in all of 2016's averages:https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2016/president/us/general_election_trump_vs_clinton-5491.html …

(Reduce that margin by 70% in swing states. Then remember all negative spin on Trump has been aired out with $4bn of negative earned media, so that’s Trump’s floor not ceiling. What happens when Trump unleashes a $1bn negative campaign against Biden?)

What happens when Trumps negligence results in thousands of deaths and a recession before Election Day.....I think who Biden is matters a lot less. Trump will defeat Trump.

Surely an elderly establishment dem candidate with a national polling lead could not be undone by memes and questions of fitness.

No but the one consistent thing this entire election cycle is that the more voters see of Joe the less they like him. And I don't think the D.N.C can hide him from the public forever
