This incident makes me feel like my soul has been ripped away. The feeling is more than heartache, more than rage, and more than shame.

I'm Canadian and ashamed of being white after reading this horrifying thread. 
Did she educate you? We know these things yet still we rise in love every day of the week. Still we fight for the good of the nation. All we've endured in this land and still we don't engage in treason. Amazing is it not?
This is what I think about a LOT, esp when I see my fellow white people so angry, vengeful, and ready to burn it all down. I look to Black people (& other marginalized ppl) as role models for how to calibrate my emotions & reactions to the horrors of today.
