Nice - all the best luck to victims of this horrible scam. Maybe people will learn to never invest into influencers... Especially if it's crypto

Building side projects at night and on weekends in my early 20s allowed me to become financially independent and quit my job today. Don't listen to anyone who shames you for working too much and not having a work-life balance. No pain no gain.

What people don't realize is that this is the default state of housing in a market economy, and it's great for consumers. Turning aging homes into an investment vehicle by artificially constraining supply, the way it's done in the US and many other places, is extremely harmful.

IMO, the quitting tech and going to work on a farm meme cause "tech/coding/computers = the worst" is such an ungrateful take. Being in tech has the best job expectations: incredible pay, ridiculous benefits, respect, safe workspaces, good hours, and so much more. Be thankful!

They always shout the loudest at the start, but boy do they always come back in the end. Viva la new Twitter!

Honestly Medvedev is such a disgusting human being nowadays, I find it hard to believe at times... I miss those days when he was just a clown serving Putin, at least people thought of him somewhat positively back then and he didn't spout nonsense every other day

I keep getting messages from government advisors who are desperate for ideas to "unlock the Brexit dividend" or "slash EU red tape". You know what would be really great for business? Access to a single market with 450 million extra customers.

First trip to Japan in 3 years, just in a few days... So excited, I can't believe I am finally going back! Here's a stunning Tokyo Station picture I took back in 2019

A common source of disappointment is recency bias: weighing the last week more heavily than the last year. Zooming in on the immediate past magnifies slumps. Zooming out farther reveals upward slopes. Progress is rarely visible at a snapshot in time. It unfolds over a lifetime.

Finally upgraded to pay-rails version 6, after dreading it would be hard to migrate all the way from 3 - but managed to do it in one go. As always a testament to work to minimise the number of breaking changes. Also realised was still using Stripe API version from 2020 😬

My wish for 2023 is to finally see this tyrant be held accountable for all his crimes and never see his mug again on TV or elsewhere. Stand Strong Ukraine, I know the victory is not too far off now πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦

Putin’s New Year’s address is a bleak tirade justifying his invasion of Ukraine. He rants about β€œtraitors,” β€œwestern lies,” β€œneo-Nazis,” plots to β€œsplit Russia apart,” and the conquest of Russia’s β€œhistorical territories.” Imagine watching this over your babushka’s olivier salad

This is probably the wildest Twitter file part for me.

I really hope doesn't step down πŸ₯² While there have been issues, Twitter has never been better for me personally and I even bought Twitter Blue to support even though I've never considered doing that previously

The wording in the policy seems to have been quite bad - just tested posting a simple link to other social media and it's all fine, so this confirms it's just a matter of reducing number of accounts that exist just to advertise, which is good policy

You are allowed to crosspost to other platforms. You just can’t create or turn your account into a free advertising unit for one of the listed competing platforms.
After 11 years in the UK, I've finally achieved one of my biggest goals in life - I've become a British Citizen. It's been a tough and long road, but it's all been worth it. The world of opportunities is fully open to me now and I couldn't be happier!
