ouch, that's rough, can you post pictures of the board and where the resistors would go?
So I’ve smacked into a pretty annoying problem with my 486 motherboard. It uses resistor networks to select the cpu type and for some reason... they’re missing. I have no idea what the values are either :/ It’s a biostar mb-8433uud-a for anyone who might have one ;p

I believe you have to do both, every photo I’ve seen has the resistor networks in place
