The City of Austin approved a $2.95 million settlement for 16-year-old Brad Levi Ayala, who suffered from brain trauma after an APD officer shot him with beanbag rounds on May 30th of last year amid protests against racism and police brutality. #J310Schwartz

Members approved funding anti-displacement efforts resulting from Project Connect, an investment in public transit. Council Member Kitchen said focus and speed are critical when allocating and distributing the $300 million in funds reserved to mitigate displacement. #J310Schwartz
