I'm a huge HPL fan. Did not like the movie at all, didn't even finish it. What did you think?
It was ok (having not read the book), but I expected more weirdness and crazy Cage given the trailer and Director hype. Ultimately it felt like a much weaker version of The Thing with some pink filters to make it seem more arty.

To be fair, the stories are, IMO, impossible to make into films. But this movie was just a collection of horror movie clichés like the pot smoking edgy teen. Must admit I liked Cage in it though!

Yeah I agree, I enjoyed it but didn’t blow me away. This is a podcast worth listening too. I’d recommend ‘Mandy’ directed by Panos Cosmatos the son of George P. Cosmatos!! Bit more Cage rage, and a beautiful soundtrack by the late Jóhann Jóhannsson my fav composer.pic.twitter.com/rfo0cUeEVc
