I mean when 99% of them agree on something, yea I assume it’s true. Anti-intellectualism is a cancer on society; when people have dedicated their whole lives to a field, they know better than a layperson.

If we let a guy out of jail and he murders someone in a robbery but doesn’t get corona is that a win for public health. Doctors are notoriously myopic and only care about their specialty. They keep dying people alive longer than they need to be, prolonging their suffering.

You’re operating on the assumption that that is a likely scenario. There is a much higher chance that someone will get corona AND die in jail/prison, then there is that a released prisoner is going to murder someone. It’s pure willie Hortonism to think otherwise.

Release 1000 prisoners and something bad will happen. Pick 1000 people at random and one of them will do something terrible. Those people didn’t wind up in jail by accident. Have you ever met someone with a low iq and almost no impulse control?

Yes, but you’re also now perpetuating myths about a ton of people. When someone is in custody, they have the right to safe and sterile housing; no one should be put at more risk for this simply because they’re imprisoned. (There are also a ton of low risk people in prison/jail).

Your boy Chesa thinks they’re all misunderstood heroes like his daddy. I don’t know where you’re at but you really gotta try to get arrested in SF. Crime is down because burglaries ‘aren’t crimes’. I’m for normalizing drugs but the city is enabling/coddling dealers and addicts.
