I am in the private health care market with a chronic illness. The premiums are expensive. The co-pays add up. The shared costs for medications and lab work and tests are eating me alive. Do I want to keep my insurance? Sure I do, in the absence of having nothing!
But like most Americans, I truly loathe my private insurance. I’m looking for any candidate who will deliver a real plan yesterday so that I can put my thousands of dollars a year into my retirement instead. This system is totally bankrupt and it’s bankrupting people like me.

I still do not understand why your country is the only major country in the world to not have single payer health coverage. I am Canadian and I NEVER have to worry about how I will pay for my healthcare.
It’s an upside down market, where else do companies responsible for managing services (health care) earn more profit by restricting the services??
Same situation here - chronic illness. My late husband also suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm in 2004 - BEFORE #ACA. We HAD ins. & still almost went bankrupt. I can tell you ALL about lifetime caps. Sometimes I wonder where we'd be if "Hillarycare" had been seriously considered.
