The Mueller ship is taking on some water, bigly. Even Mueller supporters now question whether picking a team of strident Clinton partisans in a bid to undo the 2016 elections was the wisest decision. The list of damaging revelations -from Strzok to Fusion GPS - gets longer daily.

For months, widespread speculation among pundits as to why Trump had not simply fired Mueller fueled intrigue. The events of recent weeks seem to have solved the mystery. Trump apparently knew that arrogance, cockiness & overreach would ultimate sink the Mueller ship.

Trump may have been vindicated yet again. It's now apparent, except to the blindest of partisans, that anything coming out of the Mueller probe is tainted beyond repair. The secrecy, the lack of transparency and relentless stonewalling have undermined Mueller's credibility.

Even Dems eager to see Mueller succeed in undermining the legitimacy of Trump's election are distraught that, after millions of dollars spent on his fishing expedition, all Mueller has to show for are immaterial process crimes and infractions having nothing to do with collusion.

The implosion of the Mueller operation contains a valuable lesson for Democrats: special prosecutors and investigations are not the keys to salvation. Hating Trump is not a plan. In fact, it backfired spectacularly in 2016. But Dems, being Dems, have not learned a thing. Sad!

The fact that the President's son is retweeting the Daily Caller should be enough to trouble anyone.
