Wait, what? His family needs help paying his medical bills? Why does he even have any medical bills? Why aren't all of his bills already being covered by the government who sent him to war? Our system is completely broken. Let's fix it.

It doesn’t make any difference whether he is or is not currently in the military. If his injuries are service connected, then the government should pay for his medical care. I am retired military & know many people who have minor service-connected injuries & the government pays.
