Dear Mr Fracassa- your story left out an important fact: This neighborhood already has one city navigation center as well as a homeless shelter only 5-6 blocks from this proposed site on the Embarcadero. These residents already said yes once. Time for the rest of SF to help.

Your NIMBY behavior is going to create a bigger problem but go ahead and give yourself a pat on the back for being smarter than people who work on this issue.

Hi Jaime, I’m the reporter who wrote the story. There were 5-6 people who spoke in support of the Nav Center at the port meeting by my count. They were clustered at the end, when most folks had already left. Cmsnr Victor Makras also voiced support.

This is a rather disappointing article. You failed to mention how D6 already has the 5th & Bryant Navcenter, the needle exchange at 6th & Mission, the city clinic on 7th & Folsom as well as many other services. D6 has done its part. Time for other neighborhoods to step up

How will transport work? Movement from needles and office loose change to non-commercial neighborhoods doesn’t make ton of sense.
