Hey! I saw this a few weeks back. Quite interesting indeed. English-native learners certainly tend to slur and reduce their vowels, and to mispronounce し, so I think his points are quite good. Any specific questions?

I noticed the way he pronounced か in the proper manner is less nasally than the foreigner pronunciation. I can't tell if he's exaggerating the effect because I've heard some native speakers pronounce it that way. Would like you input on this.

I think that's correct. To be it sounds more of an issue of k[ə] (wrong) vs k[ä] (right), but I do think it's accurate to say foreigners have the tendency to over nasalize certain sounds, か included.
