Am I ret4rded or am I ret4rded?? I literally can't hear a difference between the right and wrong pronunciation tones of the examples you give!
It can take a bit of practice—the examples in this video have less to do with pitch and more to do with vowel clarity, however. Note how the ‘English’ pronunciation of はしった sounds like a muddled “husheetuh” while the Japanese sounds much clearer, as in ‘hah-shee-tah’.
