Japanese is easy table is tēburu fork is fōku and glass is gurasu Sometimes. Other times it’s garasu as in window glass. Stained glass window is the opposite though. By the way for paper cup do you say koppu or kappu?

Sometimes I stupidly forget katakana words and say things like 写真機 instead of カメラ. Then people ask me if I'm from 昭和初期

Since I work mainly with medieval kanbun texts and scholarship when I try to guess kanji people ask me if I'm an oyaji because I can only come up with the oldest, most absurd readings for things off the top of my head.
