Hey @Dogen I have a question. I have been studying Japanese for a few years and I am currently having difficulty in learning to retain most of the Kanji that I've been studying. Is there an effective way to retain kanji? I'm at an N2 level.
Thanks!

Replying to @Gidingser @Dogen and
Using it right now, should a person wanting to speak conversational Japanese first shift focus elsewhere? I'll gladly sub to patreon if I can expect answers to stupid questions like this. Feel free to make a meme video tho

I always recommend studying phonetics first as it’s more difficult to fix bad speaking habits later on. I didn’t study kanji or grammar seriously until 3-4 years into my studies. Hope this helps!

Thanks. Phonetics have interested me since I learned English. You have a new patreon sub when I get home. As a followup question, do you offer personal help for patreons wanting to learn correct pronounciation? As in I post you a audio clip and you give critique based on that?

Awesome thank you! Not usually as there are many people in the program, but if the clip is short I can offer some concise feedback. Cheers!
