But you shouldn't judge Japan by other countries' standards. They have their recycling game on point. At least 100 levels more than Europe and definitely better than USA.

Being technologically advanced doesn't necessarily mean throwing technology at every problem. Paying with cash is better for privacy, and avoids card processing fees for retailers

While i agree on privacy, here in sweden we can pay with our phones and creditcard for free (basicly). Once you have it you really don’t want to go back to regular money.
