You said the brain's ability to mimic language deteriorates over time. I'm in my mid-twenties and am only just now starting to take Japanese learning seriously. Am I at a disadvantage, or do I still have the time to develop something approximating proper intonation?

Hello good sir! Saw your comment on YouTube as well. You're certainly at a disadvantage compared to someone 13 or 14, but this definitely doesn't mean you can't improve and fix bad habits. It'll be difficult to reach a 100% native level, but you can still get to 80% or 90%! ^^
