This. Is. BRILLIANT. Sound meters add time to red lights when it gets louder. "Honk more, wait more." A solution to noise pollution? We'll see!

People often ask me if Twitter is worth it? Why bother? nails it with the community piece. All of us in face challenges, but these are often never shared. Connecting, listening and being able to share and BE heard has made all the difference.

31 January 2020 is a linchpin day that will be taught in history classes, for many reasons. I think it marks the end of the era I’ve lived in all my life.

Maybe it’s because of the weird researcher//librarian path I took to my current position, but yes. This. It’s hard to reach researchers and move the conversation forward. One way to do that is to meet folks where they are. Sometimes that’s a subscription based journal.

Being on science Twitter right now is roughly 50% “I’m so proud of my new preprint / paper / wonderful students” and 50% “The world is falling into fascism.”
