But most importantly, if you see this reply, remember this. 1. Don't discriminate 2. Never be mean to anyone who disagrees with you unless they're trolls. 3. Rush not into fights. Long is the war. 4. Have fun.

A few of those things are incorrect. The Last Jedi clearly hurt the saga, although it was Kennedy's exploitation of it that has driven it to the ground. Boycotts didn't help Solo, which was a massive flop. It would be best for Star Wars to be dead at this point. The rest is ok.
-
The Last Jedi didn't hurt Star Wars anymore than The Phantom Menace did. Solo wasn't a flop because Disney didn't have to do a write down. Underperformed, yeah, flop, no.
-
...really? They cancelled projects, they re-evaluated their entire plan, all due to the mess that were Last Jedi and Solo, and I don't even dislike those movies. And if you think Phantom Menace didn't hurt star wars much... That comparison doesn't help your point.
-
Put on hold because of one movie's Box Office. The Phantom Menace caused a massive divide in the fandom, it's always been this way.
-
The Phantom Menace is a mediocre piece of shit, and changed people's view of SW forever. Now Disney attempted to right that wrong and were on the right track, but Last Jedi made too many mistakes. Yeah, those "put on hold" will come out with Ghostbusters 3. Keep waiting.
-
I dispute that they were on the right track. The Force Awakens felt like a focus group movie that was careless about issues of continuity, in-universe mechanics etc. It was a lazy piece of screenwriting. By contrast, the prequels were poorly directed but fairly decent stories.
-
Thats fair. I gave it a break because i saw it as introducing new characters, but i do appreciate the risks the prequels took.

Luke Skywalker always tried to save his friends and even his own father who he never met and even still after he almost killed him. A true jedi. In TLJ, he almost kills his nephew because of a bad dream... That's not Luke's character... That's just bad writing
-
Totally. Because it's not like Luke has struggled before. Luke isn't perfect and he should never be.
-
He does struggle almost every step of the way during his training. A new hope and empire strikes back shows this well. What I'm saying it's just out of character how he fears the darkside in his Kylo Ren while he keeps trying to save Darth Vader who is consumed by the dark side
-
He wasn't thinking clearly. He was afraid. He made a mistake. That's the point.
-
Mark Hamill even disagrees with how Luke was portrayed. I'm not saying it's impossible for him to make mistakes, I'm just saying his motivations felt a bit off. I understand and liked that the theme of the movie was about learning from failure but it could've been done better
-
Hamill said he grew to love it.

-
I wasn't aware of that. But still the movie just felt off to me after watching it the 2nd time I loved Rouge 1 especially during the final act and thought Solo was alright and geeked out when I saw Darth Maul.
-
I wish Maul wasn't spoiled for me before I saw it. Could have been a great surprise.
