Pharma opposed this policy. As did over 100 patient groups, consumer protection groups, bioethicists, lawyers...the point of the law was merely to reduce the power of the FDA

People with life threatening illnesses who are being signed off to palliative care and are currently being refused basics such as a blood transfusion & possible options which could save them or give them a longer time with their loved ones deserve the choice
