Hey @TeamYouTube @YTCreators how can we address the myth that demonetization suppresses video reach and that YT only promotes videos that bring in money?
Bc no matter how many times I say it I don’t have enough “clout” to get the message across apparently.

Saying and proving are different things , too many ppl Have a video demotised then the views drop at same time , many demonetised channels have a low suggested % in audience stats . No one's shows proof the other way

Plenty of people have. We also know for a fact that most of Iddubz videos get hit with Demonetization. Pewdie and H3 have shown that many of their videos are intitally demonetized but many of those videos still do Millions of views.

Yes but those are some of the biggest creators on the platform. Pewdie could make a 10 min video just making random noises and he would still get millions of views but for people trying to grow it’s a different story

I know creators with less than 30K subs getting good views all the time. Going to be very blunt on this one... Most ppl struggling are working really hard... at things they aren’t good at.., or things there is little demand for... it’s a 5 year grind if you’re actually good...

For me I honestly don’t care. I started making videos because I wasn’t learning what I wanted/needed in my film program at school so I decided to learn by doing. I’ve been doing YouTube for just over 2 years with 275 subs making 0 money. It’s just what I love to do

But I would love to grow my audience for the sole reason of helping other people and having the ability to advocate and making changes to how people with disabilities are treated

I don't earn from youtube but doesn't mean I'm not successful, I run multiple platforms sites to cover what I need, but to watch ppl releasee similar genre videos and earn money and I don't doesn't mean I need just means it's a double standard.

I've been told future videos would be ok hence why I'm still in the partner programe and not removed but when a video of me sat at the computer or my son scootering is limited and which actually shows 0 ads
