What should members of the public do when they see non-medical professionals misrepresenting themselves in this way? Is there a reporting mechanism in place anywhere?

In the absence of a self-regulating body (like a bar association, which presumably would drop hell on someone pretending to be a lawyer, or being a very bad one)...hopefully there'd be something short of waiting for harm/death and using criminal law?

Dentists, optometrists, people with PhD's are also called doctors because they are trained and have earned the right to use the term, doctor. A naturopth is equally trained. Why are allopathic physicians so worried about doctors who practice a different kind of medicine?

Doctor is a title ! NOT a profession. Physician is a profession, ND is not a medical degree, nor is it a profession. There are chiropractors yet they are not physicians, nor are they doctors unless they have a post graduate degree ! You better give it up, do not misrepresent.
